MMC Facts

  • The Marcus Mosely Chorale (MMC) was formed in the fall of 2011.
  • The MMC is comprised of 60+ singers, spanning Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass. Members are predominantly from Metro Vancouver but we do include members from Vancouver Island and Bellingham.
  • The MMC Ensemble includes the Directors and a handful of choir members. The Ensemble performs in select events throughout the year.

  • The MMC predominantly performs Gospel music, with influences of jazz, pop and R&B.
  • The MMC has performed with soloists Dee Daniels, Eleanor Collins (Order of Canada recipient, 2013), Leon Bibb, Jane Mortifee, Cayla Brooks, Dawn Pemberton, Leora Cash, David Steele, Jim Byrnes, and The Sojourners (2014 winners of WCMA Best Spiritual Recording of the Year).
  • The choir produces two main concerts per (Christmas and Spring). The MMC is also a regular participant in the annual Black History Month concert held each February at St. Andrew’s Wesley Church.
  • The MMC has also performed at the Con Brio Music Festival in Whistler, the Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver, the “Out for Lunch” concert series at the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Vancouver Jazz Festival Vespers, the Dundarave Festival of Lights, the 55+ BC Games, the Yule Dule, on Canada Day at Canada Place, and at the Mission Music Festival. They have also been on “On Rush” (Shaw TV) and on Global Morning Television.
  • In 2017 the MMC was featured on the Marcus Mosely CD, entitled “Labour of Love”.
